Jim went off to play in America after leaving the Saints.

Kevin played over 400 times for Derby, and it is amazing that he only got 2 caps for England (including just 2 minutes in the World Cup qualifier against Poland in 73) when he was one of the best strikers around?

Played for Liverpool in the early 70's and he was pretty good.

Because of the card (below) saying he was a university graduate (he had a Maths degree), I always thought of him as being like a professor, because in those days only the very rich or total brainboxes went to University 😀

Peter Withe had signed for Newcastle during the 78/79 season so he missed out on Forest's European Cup win, but left Newcastle to join Villa where he scored the winner in the 1982 Final

 

Goalie Scores

Blackpool v Preston 29th October 1955

Final score was 6-2 to Preston, but one bright spot for Blackpool was goalkeeper George Farm opening the scoring after injuring his arm and going up front.

Obviously his replacement in goal didn't fare so well.

A few well known faces, Bob Stokoe was manager before going off to have Cup success at Sunderland, Future England cricketer Chris Balderstone during his football career, and Bob Hatton later to become one of Birmingham's top strikers.

Here is Liverpool v Leeds 1956, Liverpool won 1-0.

Another coloured-in photo, this one is from the Chelsea v Burnley FA Cup tie in 1956. 

Chelsea eventually won in the 5th game after 4 replays (those were the days).
