Defining moment was possibly when former Wigan chairman Dave Whelan was carried off with a broken leg late in the 1st half after a tackle with Deeley, Wolves were leading 1-0 at the time but in those days there were no substitutes.
Random fact Wolves legend Derek Dougan was playing for Blackburn that day.

Leading scorer in Division 1 was Bobby Smith (Tottenham), leading scorer overall was Tommy Johnston who started the season for Leyton Orient but transferred to Blackburn mid season.

Sad to hear that former Hammer Harry Hooper died over the weekend aged 87.
Harry played for West Ham from 1950 to 1956 before going on to play for Wolves, Birmingham and Sunderland. He scored a goal against Barcelona in the 1960 Fairs Cup Final.
